
Shoestring Farm is located at Portola Pastures, a boarding facility, in the hills of Portola Valley, California. While we are located at Portola Pastures, we are a seperate business from them - any inquiries about Shoestring Farm should be direct to us.
Lessons are given in one of two outdoor arenas on the premises, overlooking the hills of Palo Alto and Portola Valley. Cross country lessons can be given at The Horse Park at Woodside (CTETA), just a short trailer ride away from the barn.
Shoestring Farm's main focus
of training is in English Hunter and Jumper.
Beginning Dressage and western lessons can also be arranged.

Equipment Needed: Pleasewear boots or shoes witha heel and long pants (jeans are appropriate) to your lesson. If you have chaps, breeches, a helmet or other equipment, please bring that as well. We do have a few helmets available to borrow, and if lessons are ongoing, we can advise you on appropriate equipment to purchase.
